Activus is a small Wanaka-based architectural practice lead by Kat Saegers (née Tibbs)
From an early age I have enjoyed creating artwork with all mediums – particularly watercolour and pencil. Some of my work has been featured in public galleries, including the Christchurch Art Gallery.
Architecture became an outlet for me to apply my artistic skill into a practical application.
In 2009, I graduated from CPIT with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS). I then spent 6 years working in Christchurch as an Architectural Technician for several firms, which included several rebuild and strengthening projects following the 2011 Canterbury earthquakes.
Activus was established in 2015 as a design practice that provides balance in creating functional – yet appealing architecture that not only captures each site's unique characteristics, but also incorporates our client's lifestyle requirements and vision.
We are a small team, and always will be. This ensures we achieve optimum quality and focus to the handful of projects we simultaneously take on. It also means that I am available to our clients throughout the process to ensure their vision is fully realised.
In 5 short years of operating, Activus has established itself as a well-respected practice in the Wanaka & Central Otago markets. Contractors, builders and consultants continually provide us positive feedback on the quality, and of the concise nature of our construction documentation.
Please feel free to view our portfolio, and also our testimonials that we have received.
I look forward to the opportunity of working with you – Kat.
